  • 3.3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
    These are essential to operate the site. Without them, core functions such as logging in and completing transactions would not work. These cookies do not require your consent under PIPEDA and cannot be disabled through our cookie manager, although you may disable them in your browser settings (which may affect site functionality).
  • 3.3.2 Functionality Cookies
    These remember your preferences and settings (such as language or login state) to provide a more personalized experience. They are not strictly necessary but improve usability.
  • 3.3.3 Analytics Cookies

    • 4.3 Analytics Cookies

      We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use our site. This data helps us understand traffic patterns and improve content and navigation.     You are not required to allow analytics cookies. Declining them does not affect your ability to access courses or content on our site.
    • 4.4 Marketing / Targeting cookies

      At launch, CPIOC does not deploy marketing or retargeting cookies. If we introduce paid advertising campaigns in future (for example, Google Ads or LinkedIn), this section will be updated and your consent will be requested before any such cookies are placed. 

    5. Your Consent and Controls

    • 5.1 When you first visit our site, a cookie banner will appear asking for your consent to non-essential cookies (functional, analytics, and marketing categories). Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and are placed automatically.

    • 5.2 You may accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category using our cookie manager. Your preferences are saved in your browser and can be changed at any time.

    • 5.3 Under PIPEDA, consent must be meaningful and informed. We do not treat general browsing of our site as consent to non-essential cookies. Pre-ticked boxes and implied consent from continued use are not our standard.

    • 6.3 If you have concerns about our handling of personal information that we are unable to resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

    • 7.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when the updated policy is posted to our site. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

    • 7.2 In the event of a conflict between the current version of this policy and any previous version, the current version prevails unless otherwise stated.
